Shinichi Uemura
President and Chief Executive Officer
Shinichi Uemura has served as the President and CEO of ITOCHU Technology, Inc. since April 2010. Prior to this assignment, he led the cloud/IT-service business initiative and the cleantech business initiative as manager of the Information Technology Business Department of ITOCHU Corporation. Prior to that, as founding managing partner, he co-founded ITOCHU Technology Ventures, Inc., an ICT industry-focused venture capital arm of ITOCHU Corporation. His past investments include Mebix (TSE:2413) and Adways (TSE:2489) in Japan, and Zhone Technologies (Nasdaq: ZHNE) and Openwave (Nasdaq:OPWV) in the US. Before that, he helped many US startup companies enter into the Japanese market as a project manager. He joined ITOCHU Corporation in 1987 and has been working in the ICT industry throughout his career. He received an MBA from the Wharton school of the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Tokyo.
Masazumi Tezuka
Assistant to President
Masazumi Tezuka brings more than 10 years of managerial experience in the IT industry to ITOCHU Technology, Inc. In 1999, he moved to London to embark on his first managerial position at ITOCHU Electronics Co., Ltd where we was responsible for M&A of IT venture companies and development of new IT services. He returned to Tokyo in 2001 as Manager of the Business Development Department of ITOCHU Techno-Solutions managing the investment portfolio and development of new IT products. In 2002, he worked on the development of E-commerce ASP services as Sales Group Leader of ITOCHU Electronics. In 2006, he became the General Manager of the Sales Department, and in 2008 he advanced to Director of ITOCHU Electronics where he was responsible for corporate planning and management of IT service business.
Since April 2010, Mr. Tezuka assumed his current role as Assistant to the President of ITOCHU Technology, Inc. He is a seasoned professional familiar with ITOCHU Corporation’s internal/external procedures and strategies and has over 17 years of experience in IT business, management, new business development, and venture investments.
Mr. Tezuka earned a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Graduate School of Toyko Institute of Technology in March 1993. Shortly after, he joined ITOCHU in April 1993 and started his career in the IT business industry.

John Takita
Vice President of Sales,
Financial Systems Group
John Takita is Director of Sales at ITOCHU Technology Inc. (ITI) responsible for enterprise sales for Global Network Solutions (GNS), ITI, developing and leveraging strategic partnerships with hardware companies, ISPs and consulting firms such as Sun, HP, IBM, Egenera, EMC, Red Hat, SAIC, and Boeing. With over 10 years experience in the technology industry, Takita currently works with clients in a variety of vertical industries including healthcare, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing as well as with financial institutions and the US government. Prior to ITI, he was a cash management consultant to Global 500 companies at The Bank of Tokyo. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Villanova University.
Hiroshi Ochiai
Vice President, CTC Business Development
Hiroshi Ochiai is the Vice President of CTC Business Development at ITOCHU Technology, Inc. (ITI) since April 2010. Prior to joining ITI, he worked for CTC in Japan. He has over 14 years of experience in the technology industry. His team is looking for emerging technology companies and new service models for CTC and the Japanese market. Albert Vasquez
Director, International Business Development
Albert Vasquez is the Director of Business Development at ITOCHU Technology Inc. (ITI). He has over 15 years experience in the technology industry and is involved in the execution and support of ITOCHU's Information Communication Technology and Media business initiatives in the U.S. market.
